Who knew in 2026 we would STILL be talking about being prepared for all kind of disasters.
The weather – Mother Earth is sick of our shit and is giving us what for on the regular. Here in Maryland, I feel I’ve been moved to tornado valley, east fuck somewhere I did NOT want to live. The wind storms are almost weekly. WIND STORMS – like the one that landed a tree on my home.
This is not a joke.
The idea of being prepared has stepped into the 21st Century,so I am stating a small list to share. IF you have something to ADD, please JOIN the conversation. This is and will be a group project. WE must SAVE OURSELVES!
WATER – Boil water every night.
Have several gallons of water on hand. Add to them weekly.
Food – Make sure to rotate your food supplies. Check the expiration dates
to keep your supplies fresh. Trader Joe’s STILL had .99 cent boxes
of Mac n Cheese!Invest in powdered milk. I think there is also
powdered peanut butter. I wonder if powdered butter is a thing?
Candles – especially the small votives in the aluminum. These can be placed in an aluminum pan, with a wire rack and used to boil water. You will need a minimum of 12 so plan accordingly!
Batteries. Solar powered phone charger. A meetup place for your family!
Mini toiletries, extra medication. Rain Gear! Boots and Raincoats due to the wind…
