I am going to detour for a bit to ask if anyone has seen the movie Constantine, starring Keanu Reeves.

Constantine is a demon hunter, (for lack of a better job description). This movie depicts SACRIFICE as the ultimate act of love and humanity. I can’t share more in case you want to see the movie – and sharing more will give away a LOT!

Getting back to politics, these last 8 weeks have been crazy. There was the pain of knowing the haters won, Joe Biden was stepping down, leaving us to battle trump and his mindless cult alone, without a WARRIOR. Thank goodness my despair only lasted a few minutes.

Despair turned to instant JOY when President Biden announced his endorsement of HIS Vice President (as any decent person would have).
The IMMEDIATE outpouring of support and money – felt like catching the biggest wave and riding it for all it is worth. We are all still riding that wave, though work must be done to keep afloat.

I was on the first call with 40,000 black women, and will be on that call every Sunday until the election. Someone thought of me, sent me the zoom link and when that didn’t work, sent me the phone number to call in. The energy was unlike anything I have ever felt.

So. MUCH. JOY!

While JOY isn’t a policy, being JOYOUS, as opposed to the miserable muthafuckas who support trump is my preference.
I’m gonna wager, there are a lot of people who feel the same way too.

We are TIRED of ignorance.
We are TIRED of disrespect.
We are TIRED of hatred – in every form.
We are TIRED of wondering what aberration will happen NEXT?
We. Are.TIRED!
