Your Spiritual Garden

I love this quote! There is a reminder, this month, to show up the way I want others to show up for me. Have you gotten any indications in your life, this is our current energy?

Normally, summer is for lazing, exploring, traveling, eating (and drinking) with family, friends and loved ones. I fear this summer, we must also include fighting for our democracy, our friends, family, cities and states.

While I normally don’t post political rants, this was not my intention when I sat down to type. That said, I feel it important to add my voice to the growing chorus of people saying WAKE THE FUCK UP! We are out of time – and as much as I was looking forward to my own, personal, Hot Girl Summer, the only heat I see is the heat to STOP a takeover of this country by mediocre white men, who believe the color of their skin makes them better then everyone else. It does NOT!

In case you don’t know what I AM FIGHTING for, here is a small list. I am sure you can add to it!
Climate Justice
Women’s Reproductive healthcare
Voting Rights
The right to every child to be FED, Clothed, Housed, Educated and be given a good education.
Clean air, food and water, etc.

They are wrong and we are the only ones who can stop them. If we wait until September to pay attention, I fear it will be too late.

This is one party being fashionably late will not cut it. We need to be EARLY, Loud and Fearless!
Here are just a few things you can do.
Text or phone bank (I really liked text banking. Not as much rudeness as one would imagine).
POSTCARDS – My fav!
Join local activist democracy groups. No matter how red your state, the groups are there!
Donate to campaigns around the country. We need a strong, democratic House and Senate – and we need more states to flip BLUE!
