It is becoming quite apparent there are those of us who actually DO the Work, and those who are only show up for accolades and glory.

In the beginning , the assumption is, WE are putting together this project, this event, this gala, etc.

Very quickly it becomes apparent that the WE will be a very small few. A small few who will do the actual legwork, the actual tech work, the actual WORK WORK. While I am not sure, I think the rest of the folks are in it for the accolades that accompany every job well done.

Yup, this is one of my triggers. I actually was fired from a volunteer job because I received accolades for the work I DID. The president of the board could not understand why. Perhaps, it was because I was DOING and she was pretending?

Anyway, like I said, triggering. So consider this a bitch session if you will. While the current situation I am in is not quite as bad, it is still feels the same.

Time will tell if I am right. If I am, you will be the first to know!
