We live in a world full of people hell bent and determined to make life a living hell for everyone not them. To be fair (which I seldom want to be) I am sure those trying to make life miserable for me are miserable themselves. What I don’t understand is why they refuse to be miserable alone. More proof the saying Misery LOVES Company isn’t an old wife’s tale. It’s truth.
While understanding there “may” be things in a person’s life which impacts their outlook, their beliefs and how they treat other people, recognize that each person HAS A CHOICE on how to treat themselves and others.
Yes, they may have had a difficult life. Many of us have. They may have been used, abused and discarded, again, many of us have. However, most of us don’t take those experiences out on another person. That is where we must draw the line.
Help a wounded person when you can. When your help, kindness, love and assistance are no longer appreciated, or taken for granted, feel free to walk away. Yes, Just LEAVE! YOU are the star of your life. Yup, I love my kids, but I am how they got here so I’ve gotta take care of me. Yes, you can love someone and leave them. In fact, your life may depend on you doing just that.
Not exactly where I thought this message was headed, but someone needs to hear this, TODAY. Listen, please and protect and care for yourself. While God has your back, YOU must have your SELF. Got it?
Thanks for reading.
Peace, love and light.
Michelle
