Sometimes We Forget

“Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.” ~ Lou Holtz

Sometimes we forget what we are capable of. When my kids were growing up, I literally “forgot” I knew how to cook. Feeding kids doesn’t require actual cooking. They eat chicken nuggets, fries, hot dogs (and beans), pizza, etc. When I needed to feed some adults who requested salmon, I told them I didn’t know how to cook salmon. The look on my friends faces was priceless. Aside from a yeah, right, they left me to figure out what I needed to REMEMBER.

We are all capable. Personally, I am seldom motivated, especially in these energy draining times. When I am motivated (to write, for instance) I try to add as many posts as I can because WHO KNOWS when I will get back here? When I am motivated to cook, I cook the same way. In batches.

If I miss a few days, charge it to my mind, not my heart. I know NOW is the time to share as much as I can. The same thing applies to each of you reading this. We need each other and WE are ALL in this together!

What have you forgotten how to do? What brought you joy that you no longer remember? Break open the vault in your mind, and remember every single thing that makes you fabulous!

I hope you enjoy your day, and I will be back in a few.

Peace and love to you and yours.

Michelle
