The Value of YOUR Time

“Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you will not do anything with it.” ~ M. Scott Peck

So many of us don’t value OURSELVES. We don’t value what WE bring to the table.

Speaking just for myself, I “think” I know my value. However, when in a group meeting, I feel unheard, disrespected and put upon. Is it because I am given the tasks no one else wants? Not sure. What I am sure of is My time has VALUE.

So does yours. After signing up for new project, I was reminded in my Mystics group meeting to set boundaries and trust in my gut to do the things I can, delegate what I can’t and let the rest fall to the wayside. After all, if it is IMPORTANT, Some ELSE will do it! (Thanks Joan and Rima). Are they right or are they right??

What a message to hear as we enter the second week of March!

We WILL all be called upon to do more. We are asked to give more to our political champions, give more to our churches, our schools and our communities. Everyone is begging for volunteers.

At some point, the answer will be NO. NO is a complete sentence.

Use it frequently and without guilt. After all, if YOU don’t look out for YOU – Who Will?? Promise YOURSELF that you will take care of you by saying NO when and where you need to. Fearlessly, without guilt or hesitation. NO is a Complete Sentence!

Have a fabulous day!

Thanks for reading.
