Hello Dear!

Wow! Can you believe I abandoned my site for so long? I cannot either. My apologies to you. I kinda went overboard on celebrating my birthday this year. After all, no one is guaranteed to see another.

However, I thought I had stacked up some posts to be delivered while I was on hiatus. My bad, I did not do nearly enough work.

Thought I would share some pain and a bit of joy with you today. My normal Sunday reading (see below) looked fabulous! After all, I haven’t seen Make A Wish in ages. I should have known the combination of Have Faith, Consult an Expert and Make a Wish did not bode well.

Especially since the Consultant was a vet for my crazy cat Lucky. The wish was for a huge bag of money to fall from the sky. I am STILL waiting!

To make a long story short, Lucky swallowed a piece of rubber. It didn’t disintegrate nor move past a certain point in his intestines. He was pretty miserable and keeping everyone awake all night long.

If that wasn’t bad enough, he needed X-rays (several) and surgery. So much for my happy August. Vets are expensive as all hell.

I am telling you, if it ain’t one thing it WILL be another. Guaranteed. Just figure out how to make it through and find some joy along the way. I am struggling with following my own advice, but I am trying to follow through.
